Jeremy Hernandez Lum Tong

Jeremy R. Hernandez Lum Tong was born in Trinidad and Tobago and brings a diverse experience to his legal practice. Jeremy attended the University of Toronto (Toronto, ON, Canada) for his undergraduate studies where he graduated Summa cum Laude with three Majors and one Minor.

Afterwards, he pursued a dual JD program from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law (Ottawa, ON, Canada) and American University Washington College of Law (Washington, DC). He now possesses both Canadian and American Juris Doctors.

His academic co-curricular experience includes student government, campus ministry, and the performing arts.

While at law school, Jeremy served on the Arbitration Brief, competed internationally in Model United Nations, Mock Trial, and the renowned Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria, winning awards.

Prior to joining Hurrell-LLP, Jeremy has worked at numerous firms either as a law clerk or paralegal in various practices including personal injury, employment, civil rights, family law, criminal law, and military law. He graduated from his legal studies in Spring 2025 and then went on to pass the July 2025 California Bar Exam and the February 2026 Uniform Bar Examination in Maryland. He joined Hurrell-LLP as an Associate Attorney in January 2026.

Jeremy is licensed to practice in all California courts, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and all Maryland courts.

Apart from being an Attorney, Jeremy is also a Reservist in the United States Navy, and an actor, singer, dancer, and pianist. His acting credits include the recently premiered film Love and Karma (2025), other musical theatre and tv productions, including those with Disney stars. His singing credits include performances at St. Peter\'s Basilica in the Vatican City, foreign Embassies and Ambassador\'s Residences in Washington, DC, numerous Balls and festivals in the United States, and many Churches throughout North America.
